The gauge in my car tells me what I already know but don't want to know. It is H O T outside.
Triple digits continue to haunt us. No rain in sight. My outside plants can't hang in this heat. They have withered and died. I am holding out hope for fall flowers.
Firework celebrations were threatened this year. Many were cancelled. The risk of fire is just too high.We chose not to fire our own explosives this year. {We live in a wood roof neighborhood.} We opted instead to go to the public displays that were not cancelled.
In addition to cancelling firework displays many cities have a no burn order right now. No open flames means no campfire S'mores. {Can you see the sad face as you read this!}
I had to rely upon a Pinterest find to carry us through. We can not have a July 4th celebration without S'mores even if we can't have a campfire. These are S'mores on a Stick.
They are simple to make.
You put a marshmallow on a lollipop stick. Dip it into chocolate (I prefer dark chocolate) and roll into graham cracker crumbs. Simple. Easy. Deliciousness!
The best part, they were made in my air conditioned kitchen. Using the microwave only. Not causing a fire is a good thing {especially when you are celebrating the 4th with a fireman}!
what a great idea
