I secured my second Pick Your Plum grab box. It came in today's mail. Sadly, it might have been the highlight of my day. You can review my first grab box  H E R E ! This grab box had a lot more articles of clothing than before. Total I had 22 different items. Here they are: 1. A long sleeved maroon t-shirt. 2. Purple folding snack cups. 3. Neon flashing shoe laces. 4. Wooden flowers. 5. Personalized ribbon that says, "Thinking of you, Pamela." 6. Cupcake liners and picks. 7. A black short sleeve t-shirt. 8. A black beret with lace trim and cute button accents. 9. A gold necklace. 10. Metal square dangle bracelets.  11. A tan and white polka dot zippered storage container. One of our beloved family activities is camping.  Most campsites feature a picnic table for outdoor dining.  I  love bringing a piece of me to my camping space and a bright cheerful tablecloth is an easy way to do that. However, all too often the wind has other plans for my tablecloth! I know they make devises to hold a tablecloth in place but I have never had good luck with them. They break. The pop off. They lose their shape. Even the cute little weighted clips fall off or have no power over the Missouri win.  Out of pure frustration, I have found a way of securing a tablecloth that the wind can not blow around. The next stop on our Tour of Missouri is another state park. This time a place close to home, Watkin's Mill State Park. Our trip there was very spontaneous. We had friends camping there that weekend and since we were free Friday night, we packed up and headed out. It was the first time we have used our new camper since we brought it home in February. Due to a very hectic weekend of dance photos and prom, I only stayed at the camp site one night. The Husband and I got up early and hit the trails. We are trying to prepare for The Katy Trail and every time we schedule a practice ride it rains.  We might have missed sunrise but were got on the trail while it was still cool and not many people were out. I learned a few things on this short ride. First you should never leave for a ride without some water. The Husband and I both did and we regretted it. Every spring we look forward to the return of longer days, green grass, and warmer temperatures! But we also look forward to the return of baseball!  The Boy has been playing for a few weeks already and boy have some of his games been pretty chilly. The Husband and I are co-managing/co-coaching an all girls tee-ball team for the second year with another couple.  Five of the girls returned to us from last year. We are so happy to  have an amazing group of girls who will become great ball players. Managing and coaching little ball players comes with a few struggles: they misplace equipment, they grab each others things, they get distracted, and of course they get excited. We learned a few things last year that have really helped us this year. 5 Tee-Ball Lessons We Have Learned Sharpies!  We made sure on our very first practice that we had Sharpies in hand. Maybe this is a post only a mother could love. Or a Grandmother.  Or an Aunt. Maybe a Daddy would love it too. If you love to see little girls dressed up in super cute sparkly dance outfits dancing and signing away you also just might love this post! Here is The Short Chic's two dances at her recital this past weekend.This is the first year for two dances. Her tap number was "The Old Soft Shoe".  In case you missed it on Instagram she calls this her "French" skirt. I keep telling her it is a "fringe" skirt. Her ballet number is " Chim Chimney" from Mary Poppins. I can't select a favorite. I love them both! The dance year ended tonight. We are one step closer to an official summer vacation!

I don't know about anyone else's family but ours occasionally has a day that is over scheduled. Here is our Insane Saturday! 9:00 a.m. Wake The Short Chic up to do hair and make-up. 10:00 a.m. Visit to local florist to pick up flowers. 11:30 Full Make-Up, Hair and Dress Rehearsal for Dance Recital I love rehearsal. It allows me to get up-close great shots without blocking anyone's view! 1:00 First Tee-Ball Game of the Season.  The Boy also had a baseball game but we had to miss the first hour because of tee-ball. Here is our group of girls getting ready for their game. Having a proper game face is an essential part of our strategy. 2:00 We won! {Yes, I admit no one actually keeps score in a tee-ball game. My social media news-feed is full of photos of young people in pretty gowns and tuxedo's. Every time I turn it on there are more photos to see.  It is Prom time. A right of passage of dressing up and dancing the night away. Every year up to this one, I have just sat back and enjoyed the photos in my news-feed. But not this year. My favorite photo from The Boy's prom This year was different. This year The Boy was old enough to attend Prom. Once I moved beyond the excitement that he is growing up and has reached yet another milestone I had a lot of unanswered questions and more than a few worries.  Would he drink? Would he stay safe? Would he make good decisions in the face of others? Like every other teen going to prom he thought he would get a party bus, hang out with friends, and he would be able to party the night away.
